Hey guys,
So i want to talk to you about a new tv show that came out very recently: Daredevil.
I'm so happy that it finally premiered because i've been excited to see it since i first heard about it, and it has not disappointed me in any way!! I love everything about it: the cast, the script, the directing, the photography.. and the main theme, omg that main theme is so amazing!
This tv series tells us the story of Matt Murdock, a lawyer who lost his sight when he was a kid in an accident, which also helped enhancing his other senses, and who, by night, turns into a vigilante protecting his town, Hell's Kitchen, going by the name of Daredevil. In the cast we can find Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson and Vincent D'Onofrio, among others.
I highly recommend it, i think it is a really good tv show, kind of different than the other superhero shows out there and definitly deserves taking a look at!! And, well, i have to admit it, Charlie Cox is a cutieee!!!!!
Have you guys heard about it? Do you like it? Let me know in the comments below and i will see you soon :)

Sitcoms!
Hey guys!
So recently I started watching Parks and Recreation out of curiosity (specially because I saw a lot of people talking about it on Tumblr and decided to see what all the fuss was about) and I am completely addicted. Parks and Rec is a sitcom that tells us about all the adventures of Leslie Knope and the rest of the Parks and Recreation department, where she works. This is a comedy that is not only absolutely amusing and makes you wonder how 20 minutes can fly so fast, but is also completed with an amazing cast where we can find Amy Poehler,Nick Offerman, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott (a personal favorite), Aziz Ansari, Aubrey Plaza, Rashida Jones and many others. It is one of my favorite shows at the time, specially because it never fails to make me laugh or put me in a good mood.
Another show I started watching recently is Brooklyn Nine-Nine. I have to admit that i started watching it because it had Andy Samberg as the lead character and, because i like him a lot (emphasis on 'a lot'), I decided to give it a try, and i'm glad i did. Brooklyn Nine-Nine describes us the daily life of the detectives of the New York Police Department after the arrival of the new commanding officer, focusing on the commander's relationship with detective Jake Peralta, who has a hard time taking in the new rules. It is such an amazing show, super funny and, just like Parks and Rec, makes 20 minutes fly too fast. Although i believe that Andy Samberg is the soul of the show, i have to say that the whole cast makes the sitcom the amazing tv show that it is- in the cast we can also find Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Andre Braugher and others- and i definitely recommend it.
Let me know if you have seen any of these tv shows and if you like them, and i'll see you guys soon :)

Review: Boyhood
Boyhood is not your typical movie. This is a kind of movie we only get once in a while and when we get it, it's very good. Boyhood walks us through the life of Mason (Ellar Coltrane) from when he is a little boy until he graduates from high school and starts a new phase of his life, college. Along the way, we see him growing up and facing the obstacles put in his way, for instance how he deals with constant change in his life, exploring his relationship with his mother (Patricia Arquette), sister (Lorelei Linklater) and dad (Ethan Hawke) .
This movie has no second intention or any subliminar meaning behind it; its only purpose is to show this boy's growing process, and it delivers it in the best way. The directing is amazingly simple and the script is also good, although it could have developed a little more Mason's connection to the "outside world", something we only see more detailed close to the end; the performances are very natural, with special attention to Patricia Arquette, who i believe captures the true essence of the character she portraits, and the soundtrack fits the movie. The fact that it took 12 years to be made is said by some to be what is behind the film's adoration and praise; in my opinion, that just shows the commitment behind it and makes it a one of a kind.
Basically, this is a very simple movie, but its simplicity is what makes it so good and different.
New year, more reviews?

Book: "If I Stay"
Hey there! So i wanna talk about a book that i read recently (finished reading it yesterday actually), and that book is "If I Stay". I was very excited about this book because a lot of my friends had recommended it to me and i was getting more and more curious, until i gave in and decided to read it.
When i started it, i though this was going to be a book about teenage love, compromised when she, Mia, got involved in a car accident and everything changed; but i was positively surprised when, as i read it, i understood it actually involved far more complicated topics, and not only teenage love, but love in general. I don't want to give anything away to those who want to read it, but this a tragic story and at some points makes you think about what you have and makes you value it a lot more.
Personally, i like the way the book is put together, specially because throughout the whole book the author carefully integrates analogies between the past and the present, giving insight of Mia's life before and during the tragedy, which made it even more sad witnessing how one day everything is good and the next day life takes an unexpected turn and takes everything you took for granted away, not leaving love and tough choices out of the picture.
In general, this is, in my opinion, a very good book and i definitely recommend it. It's sad, but somehow finds its way to involve some humor, to lighten the mood sometimes, and it's of very easy reading. Oh, and it may involve some tears!
PS: I haven't watched to movie, but i intend to soon. When i do, i'll post about my opinions on both the movie and its relationship with the book.

Little Note
Hey guys! I know i've been absent for a very long time, but this couple of months away were because, with school starting and a lot of things happening, it was very hard to actually post something. But i'm back and with my first 'actual' post, and I want to talk about the whole point of the blog.
This blog is only something i'm doing for fun and because i want to share my opinions and likes with all of you. Therefore, i am not by any means an expert on cinema or books or anything, i'm just someone who is very interested in it and likes to discuss opinions, which is, like you have probably realized, my main goal.
That said, hope you like the blog and all that is to come of it!
see you soon xx
